Chung-Salem wins King Auto Group state title
Christopher Chung-Salem of Lahaina won the boys 13-14 flight at the HSJGA King Auto Group 13-18 State Junior Championship on Tuesday at The Club at Hokulia on Oahu.
Chung-Salem shot a 25-over 169 (88-81) to win the three-player division.
Other Maui golfers in the event included Kahului’s Anson Cabello (149), who placed fourth in boys 15-18, and Wailuku’s Payten Shimizu (150), who tied for fourth in the girls 15-18 division.
Hayase of Kahului has hole-in-one at Waiehu
Keli Hayase of Kahului made a hole-in-one at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course on Tuesday.
Hayase aced the 16th hole from 112 yards using a 7-iron. Andra Fukuyama and Stuart Fukuyama witnessed the shot.
Wailea member Spencer has ace on Gold Course
Wailea member Alan Spencer recorded a hole-in-one on Wednesday at the Wailea Gold Course.
Spencer used an 8-iron to ace the No. 3 hole from 145 yards. Brian Kanagai witnessed the shot.
Marmaro of LA makes hole-in-one at Wailea
Paul Marmaro of Los Angeles sank a hole-in-one on June 24 at the Wailea Emerald Course.
Marmaro aced the 153-yard third hole using an 8-iron. The shot was witnessed by Richard Marmaro and Suzanne Marmaro.
